Our Story
It all began in June 2009 when a friend said the four words every sane person should run from: “just come look.” Most of the puppies were bundled up in a sleepy cuddle pile, but one little firecracker was zooming around like he owned the place. The second he locked eyes with my husband, it was over. They clicked like they’d been buddies forever. We drove home with Pepper that day, and everything changed.
Pepper became our shadow and our sidekick. Lowe’s, Runnings, boat days, horse shows, and his sacred weekend trip to Tim Hortons for a turkey treat. He turned into the unofficial mayor of our home, greeting everyone with that confident, friendly energy that made people fall for him instantly.
When our puppies were born, Pepper was right there with us. During those long overnight deliveries, he curled up beside me on the floor, quietly keeping watch as each new little life arrived. He set the tone of our home. Steady. Gentle. Joyful.
At 15, Pepper developed dementia and Cushing’s disease. After a year of loving care, we made the heartbreaking decision to let our best boy go. His legacy lives on in the sweetest way. Today we are raising his grandson, Ford, who carries that same bright, spark-plug spirit.
We don’t have human kids. Our animals are our family. On our small farm in Walworth, NY, we raise miniature Dachshunds and Shih Tzus, along with three horses, three cats, twelve chickens, five ducks, and one retired Sheltie. We believe in thoughtful, hands-on care, excellent socialization, and lifelong support for every family who chooses one of our puppies.

Our Breeding Process
Raising puppies here isn’t a business. It’s a commitment, and honestly, it’s a piece of our heart. Every pairing begins with careful thought. We look at health, temperament, structure, and personality, making sure each match is the right one not just on paper, but for the future families who will love these puppies. There is no rushing and no guesswork. It’s intentional every single time.
Once the puppies arrive, they grow up right in the center of our home, surrounded by people who adore them and a little crew of miniature dachshunds who take their “big sibling” duties very seriously. That daily interaction creates confident, social puppies who understand gentle play, group dynamics, and how to thrive in a busy family environment.
They hear household sounds, feel loving hands from day one, and learn from the calm, steady dogs around them. By the time they go home, they’re already well-rounded little companions with bright, connected personalities.
This is a thoughtful, hands-on breeding process built on love, responsibility, and respect for the breed. Every puppy starts life surrounded by warmth, and we carry that care through until they’re ready to join their forever family.
